I had the privilege of starting in the field of sexual abuse/violence, which began my real-life education. I've continued my study of trauma, and in family and couple dynamics. Here's what my years of experience has taught me: people can (and do!) get better.
My psychotherapy approach is eclectic. All modalities are based on research and are considered best practice for therapy. I utilize talk therapy, experiential therapies and ketamine assisted psychotherapy. In other words, I'm happy to share my tools with you, in a manner that goes at your pace and is meaningful to you.
My joy is to help you connect to the strengths you already have and to connect the dots in your life that help provide present day clarity so you can be your very best you!
What I treat:
I am trauma focused. It's important to know that the definition of trauma is a stressful or frightening event or a series of events that can happen at any age. It's an occurrence in your life that caused serious overwhelm at the time...or not. Maybe the overwhelm is just beginning to happen, even years later. Trauma can happen to anyone, and in an infinite sort of ways. No one can say what is or is not traumatic to another person. If it was traumatic to you, it was trauma. And can be worked on!
Because I am trauma focused, I offer a safe place to explore what you've been through in an open, non-judgmental space. A history of trauma can manifest as depression, anxiety, impulsivity, addiction, and many other ways. Where it really seems to insert itself is in relationships. My joy is helping couples navigate healing the traumas which are interfering with their relationship.
I offer online services via a HIPAA compliant platform.
I also offer face to face in office therapy.
I am partnered with Journey Clinical to offer Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy, both in office and online.
